The only thing I can deduce from this is that if MMW truly is writing the lyrics and ratings into the FLAC files, then the Android player is not truly scraping all the tags from those files by virtue of monitoring a folder. Side note: I know the ratings are also being embedded in the files by MMW, because I just handed a few of those FLACs to Swinsian (Mac player), and Swinsian picked up the ratings from the files. Now, in the MM Android interface, I see Album, Artist, Genre, Track Names and Numbers, and Artwork (which I would expect if the player is truly scraping the vorbis tags from the files). Because I don't want MM Android wiping out all the music on my card (should I choose to uninstall it later), I parked the FLACs in a folder labeled "Music" in the root of the SD card and told MM Android to monitor that folder for library content. All my MMW ratings and embedded lyrics were visible in the tracks in the Android player.Īfter rebuilding the phone, formatting the SD card, and reinstalling MM Android, I manually copied a few albums worth of FLACs into the phone's external SD card using the windows file explorer and a USB cable connection. I designated the external SD card on my phone as the destination, and let MM park the files in its own \\Android\Data\\files subdirectory.
